Political Talking

I just thought I'd share a little bit about a thought I had the other day. It was after I listened to the Libertarian Chairman here in the county give a talk on Libertarians. I realized what I don't like about them, aside from thier wishy-washyness. It's that their whole philosophy is much to induvidualistic and relative overall. They think that whatever is good for you is fine, as long as it doesn't violate other people's rights. It would work fine if everybody had thier own 40 achres and heard from all the other people once every quarter. The fact is though, that as humans we are communal, social beings, and we need leaders, because people don't always do what's in thier own best interest. The fact of the matter is that there is absolute morality, and sadly a lot of it has to be legislated. I'm probably gonna edit this post later, if I think of something more I want to say.

You are right. Individualistic philosophy won't work, because Man is a social animal.

And the computer froze up and I forgot what else I was going to say.

It always makes me laugh when people say you can't legislate morality. What else do you legislate?

Are you going to edit the post, or was that just a random thought?
